Myrtle Beach area shop offers old-school golf fashion

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – It’s a blast from the past when you step into one Myrtle Beach area golf store.

Golf Knickers, which is located on Highway 17 Business heading toward Surfside Beach, offers up some old-school fashion for golf enthusiasts.

The owners of the shop are from New York but came down to the Grand Strand in the early 2000s.

The store sells old-school golf knickers, shirts, socks and hats. It also provides an array of colors and patterns.

Joseph Parisi, the owner’s son, said having the Myrtle Beach Classic in town has been an exciting time for their business.

“Golf season we see so much more traffic with orders, people coming into the store, and to have a big name like the PGA in the area. A lot of people call Myrtle Beach the ‘Golf Capital of the World,’ so to have the PGA be here kind of just strengthens that name for the area, so it’s just huge for golf as a sport and just all of the businesses around as well.”

Golf Knickers mostly sells its clothes online but it’s only brick-and-mortar store is in the Grand Strand.
